Level 2 Graded Reader
At the time of this article, Chinese Breeze has four levels of graded readers. Level 1 assumes a knowledge of 300 base words, level 2 500 base words, level 3 750 base words, and level 4 1,100 base words.

A Level One Graded Reader
“Whom Do You Like More?” 《你最喜欢谁？》is a level one graded reader published by Chinese Breeze. At level one, a reader with 300 Chinese characters under their belt should be able to read this book. Typically, this would come after one year’s worth of college level Chinese.
“Green Phoenix” 《清风》 Intro
This book was written by Yuehua Liu (of “Integrated Chinese” fame) and Chengzhi Chu, with Qin Xie. Part of the “Chinese Breeze” graded Chinese readers book series, it is well suited for Level 2 learners, those who have a solid working knowledge of 500 Chinese characters.
